Nokia N900 Runs Android 2.3.1 Gingerbread

Several components are functional, except for basic ones like calls, SMS

Whether it's Christmas or St. Patrick's Day, geeks and technology enthusiasts continue working on their projects. Nokia N900 smartphone tablet has an amazing hardware to run different mobile OS. Over the weekend, a video of N900 running Google Android 2.3.1 build smoothly was spotted on YouTube. Uploaded by one of the NITDroid (Android for Nokia Internet Tablet) forum member, the Android 2.3.1 was running quite nicely on the Nokia tablet.

Nokia N900 running Android certainly isn't a fully functional port but a work in progress. However, components of Android OS like keyboard, Bluetooth, touchscreen, graphics processor, etc. are functional.  But you can't make call or send SMS as yet.
