Leader girl pins hopes on 180

She might have made her acting debut with a Tamil flick, Vaamanan, but is it in Tollywood that actress Priya Anand's priorities seem to lie? That's going to change soon, she assures us. And that's because she'll now be seen opposite Boys Siddharth in Jayendra's upcoming flick titled 180.

"It really wasn't a conscious decision," she says, about concentrating on Tollywood, "While I was waiting for good offers in Tamil to come by, I was approached by M Saravanan sir's banner to do a film in Telugu with director Shekar Kammula. He was launching Ramanaidu sir's grandson, RaNa, and I had a vital role in it. I wasn't willing to let go of that offer. The film clicked at the BO and even now, people remember my dialogues in it! I was fortunate enough to have gotten a well-written role and a big launch in the Telugu film industry. Soon, I was approached by producer Dil Raju for a film with Ram. Numerous offers followed and I almost had to settle in Hyderabad! And then, I took off to the US to be with my parents. Now, I'm back in Kollywood with 180."
